This small state wraps the Chesapeake Bay. Despite its size, however, it is a home to a wide variety of tourist attractions. Maryland's topography is quite diverse, contributing to its nickname "Little America" or "America in Miniature". It has pine groves in the Maryland Mountains and rolling hills of oak forest in its Piedmont Region on its west. Along with large bald cypress, sea grass and low marshlands near the Chesapeake Bay, and sandy dunes on its west. That means it has long beaches, mountains, lakes, and waterfalls, and gorgeous walking trails.

As with most East Coast state, Maryland's flora and fauna is abundant and healthy. While Annapolis is the state's capital, Baltimore is the largest city.

The state played a huge role in America's history; hence it's most famous attractions are museums and monuments namely the Fort McHenry National Monument, Baltimore Museum, and the Walter's Art Museum.

The highest percentage of the state's workforce is in the service business industry. The "new economy" of aerospace, biotechnology, and information technology, however, are on the rise. The state is also the leading producer of crabs.
